This sweater is incredible - it is super soft and has such a great shape. It is hand knit - the designer of Ound - Paula Delgado - works with a group of women artisans in the rural areas of Uruguay to make them using wool from native breeds of super-fine Merino and Corriedale sheep. The wool is undyed and it is processed with no chemical treatment to preserve its natural properties and performance. The wool yarn is 3 ply twisted to minimize pilling. The feel of this sweater is as mentioned above, incredibly soft and also a bit lofty. It has a nice warmth without being heavy.
Fit- This fits true to size and is available in two sizes - s/m (marked M) and m/l (marked L). If in between sizes, we recommend sizing up. The shape is comfortable and flattering - with a slight crop in the length. The neck fits closely - it is a mock neck. The important measurements are below -
M (s/m) - underarm to underarm - 22", length - 20"
L (m/l) - underarm to underarm, 23" length is 21"
This soft cub brown version of the molle sweater is made of 50% super fine merino wool, 50% corriedale wool. Made in Santa Lucia, Uruguay
Ound is a small collection designed by Paula Delgado. Paula's collection was founded on a strong commitment to sustainability, with a "seasonless practice that evolves through passion and investigation". Paula uses all undyed wool and for her silk pieces, everything is naturally dyed. The collection is rooted in the notion of a humble luxury and integrity of making that runs in accordance with our inner natures and respect to the natural world. We love all that is put into these pieces and the finished results are nothing short of absolute beauty coming from a thoughtful process.
