Description
Wonderful napkins, sold individually - these look wonderful mixed and matched with the Tensira tablecloths. These come in eight different stripes and checks. Because of the hand-spun and hand-woven quality of the fibers, there can be variation in the weave throughout. This is part of the beauty of the hand involved.
The stripe style options are listed from the second picture, left to right. The third picture has the same order, but spread out, to more easily see.

100% cotton, made in West Africa by Tensira
Tensira is designed by husband-and-wife duo- Hamidou and Tuulia Diallo. Their mission is to foster sustainable working environments for craft communities in West Africa - where Hamidou is from. Based in Paris, their designs have a European sensibility. This in combination with the handwork of traditional ways of dying and crafting make these very special pieces with a unique feel. We are so attracted to this combination of influences and ways of production. The indigo dying is inspired by Hamidou's mother who was an indigo dyer for 40 years. Tensira now supports 60 collaborators in the Republic of Guinea and dozens of individual craftsmen and women through the region. The textiles are hand-spun and hand-woven on traditional looms. The mission of the company is a beautiful one - we love Tensira and are so happy to welcome their new line of table linens into our shop!
