From the kitchen section off our shop <3 Our favorite soap from Portugal, waffle kitchen cloths, different twines (the first one is great for wrapping up little treat packages with either wax paper or glassine bags, the second is a wonderful cotton twine and the third is jute - all of them come with either a cutter or scissors), gingham linen napkins and brushes, gift tags, a John Derian paperweight with a market basket, more beautiful cotton kitchen cloths, fruit wrapping paper, beeswax candles and another style of kitchen cloths :)

Fit is everything. Into the fit goes all the tiny details- the design in general which determines the directions of fabric and how it all falls, the choice of fabric, the placement of things- (as in where exactly to place the pockets!!) , finishings, hems... it all works together to create the whole piece. When you put something on that is the perfect fit, fireworks go off! Beautifully made garments are made to have a beautiful fit. This skirt is one of the pieces that is incredible on the hanger, but out of sight once put on. It has a close fitting elastic waist that doesn't squeeze but holds in place, with big pleats falling from the waist. The length hits mid calf. It has been flattering on every single person who has tried it on. It creates a beautiful shape on the body- cinching in at the waist (no bulkiness in that area because pleats keep it close)... and from there it falls into a full skirt. There is a beautiful cream colored cotton lining that adds to the warmth and shape of the skirt. The version shown above is a lovely striped charcoal wool- perfect for the cooler months. There is one left in this great piece- size small- if interested, you can see more here.
