Going through some older film, I came across this photo of our friend Nikki making a great expression (it was hot!) wearing our peter pan shirt in white on white gingham Japanese cotton.

Beautiful textiles are so exciting. In a way, the depth and richness in a handwoven piece is almost a language that exists quietly in the air around it. There is the environment from where the hands were working, the hours and time involved, the skill and knowledge, and the artistry that comes from within.... and then our reaction to it. All those things add up to something unexplainable but felt, which is the true essence of beauty... I think. What then keeps a beautiful object/textile/clothing piece from being too precious is its durability, its usefulness. When things are made well, and by hand- they are made to use and to last. This might be going too far into explaining the details of a handwoven blanket, but when we get these special pieces into the shop there is a gut reaction of appreciation and excitement. I was thinking about why that is... what makes something so special. The blanket above is an example of one of these incredible pieces- handwoven, soft, luxurious, organic in feel, durable... and a work of art!

More pajamas :) These are made of white organic cotton with a grey/blue piping. The pajama set on the left has a classic fit with drawstring pants that hit at the ankle. The robe is hits at mid calf and is made of the same organic cotton.

Oh a lovely new batch of pajamas has arrived! A couple styles are floral like the nightgown and pajamas above... some have old fashioned piping, and some are all white. They're the best pajamas- the styles are wonderful and the cotton is organic.
