Mother's Day!

Mother's Day gift ideas for those who love to cook <3 There are so many inspiring cookbooks this year- each giving unique perspectives and ideas for putting things together. We have really loved reading them ourselves and experimenting. The result has been many lovely dinners outside and talks about combinations of different ingredients and the best local produce from our favorite little markets. We also think putting together a package of beautiful wooden spoons with a napkin set or towel makes for a lovely gift.  Also shown- tea packages from France, market baskets, dishes from Astier de Villatte and one of a series of John Derian mushroom plates.

Another piece from Vestiaire de Jeanne- a beautiful long sleeve silk dress. We love the way this falls- it fits oversized, but the silk follows the shape of the body- which makes it very elegant. It is a versatile piece that can be kept casual with a pair of flats or dressed up with a small heel. We are showing it here with the A Détacher Eleanor pumps in black suede, and we also love it with the Repetto jazz shoes in black <3

A favorite dress- the linen chemise from Pip Squeak Chapeau. This has sweet cotton lace detailing along the neck, down the button placket and along the edge of the sleeve. Pip Squeak uses the most incredible linen, which we were reminded of a few days ago when our dear friend came in wearing a dress she had bought at our store in the first years the line started... maybe around 10 years ago. The dress looked brand new all these years later. Cheers to quality and timeless styles that keep going because they come from an original mind :) Cheers to Pip Squeak Chapeau!

This dress comes in navy and white- both are lovely. It can be worn as a dress or over pants, leggings.... there are many ways we can think to wear it. You can see more here.
