What a fun evening it was last night! As usual we forgot our camera, but here are a few photos of the packages we made with the Sal Del Mar for the event. The tastings made by Teri Arnold Shannon from Teresita's Panadería y Bistro were out of this world- beautiful and delicious! And the new cookbook- "Mexico: The Cookbook"… was such a nice compliment to everything we were putting together. This cookbook is so fabulous- we can't wait to put it to good use! Big thank you's to Claudia Karafotos of Sal Del Mar and Teri Arnold Shannon of Teresita's for making their way from Alamos to our shop- they made the evening a truly special one!

Many of you have seen Sal Del Mar in our store- we love this gourmet sea salt and have had it available at bon for quite a while now. Our friend Claudia Karafotos started this sweet, small company after she discovered the way sea salt was harvested from the Sea of Cortez using ancestral methods. She then met a group of women in the village of Sabinito who were interested in embroidering the bags Claudia envisioned for the salt. It all came together like it was meant to be. We think it is a wonderful salt, and we adore the packaging…. it makes the perfect gift! Please join us on Friday, October 24, 6 to 8 pm for tastes and drinks- it's going to be a fun evening!! Wonderful new pieces by Christy Long now in the shop. These are made of semiprecious stone combinations crocheted on silk… chrysoprase and turquoise, labradorite and turquoise, and green cats eye and moss aquamarine. These look beautiful on with the stones going around the back of the neck.
