Description

A stunning coat made of a brushed cotton with a light cream cotton/linen voile lining. The sleeves have a lovely striped cupro lining that looks great showing when the sleeve is folded up. The technique used to create the brushed cotton is called kinanadaki which is a technique that has been used for 100 years in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. It's characterized by a soft, warm hand feel and a rich, worn in appearance created through fine surface brushing. The result is a natural, hand-crafted texture. This coat has a beautiful fit with a length that hits just below the knee. It has a small collar with 5 buttons down the front. There are two front flap pockets. It has a strap at the back with two buttons for desired positioning. It has set in sleeves that are full length. We love the idea of this with faded jeans, a white tee and black patent mary janes or Repetto zizi's. It also looks great over all fall/winter ensembles.

36 (small) - underarm to underarm - 22", length - 39.5"

38 (medium) - underarm to underarm - 23", length - 40"

40 (large) - underarm to underarm - 24", length - 40.5"

Inspired and named after the region Pas-de-Calais in Northern France, where the landscape is incredibly beautiful and the artisanal heritage runs deep. The styles have a nostalgic feel with a nod to another time while also feeling of the moment. The textiles used in the collection are original productions, used exclusively for Pas de Calais. They also use both traditional and modern dying techniques to get exactly the right touch of color for each design.
