The most stunning design is met with exquisite textured wool/cotton in the special dress. The wool cotton is a rich chevron black watch plaid with an all over puckered texture. It's quite something. It's lined with a recycled polyester that allows for it to glide on and holds its shape while also giving the skirt a bit of extra volume. The waistline is gorgeous with angled points at each side of the front and each side of the back. There is pleating below which creates the full skirt. There is an opening at the front with a small button closure at the boat neckline. You can wear this buttoned or open with the neckline falling into a v-shape. The lining along the neckline is a black silk, so if you wear it open, the black falls beautifully against the plaid. There are side seam pockets. We love this layered with a white shirt, but you can also layer it with other pieces or wear it on its own. Jettie wears it with the Fabiana Pigna Merced Shirt in white. 

Fit - This fits slightly big, but falls to the body. You can likely size down, but its best to go by the measurements below -

extra small - underarm to underarm - 19", length - 54.5"

small - underarm to underarm - 21", length - 55"

medium - underarm to underarm - 22", length - 55.5"

large - underarm to underarm - 23", length - 56"

Rory William Docherty is a British born New Zealand designer who merges the poetic with the practical in his designs. He blends grace and drama with easy, everyday pieces - a combination that really speaks to us. Rory's designs are focused on the creative process - they begin with drawings that evolve into paper maquettes and from there are enlarged into fluid and sculptural shapes. Many times, cherished silhouettes will come back in new fabrications. We fell in love with Rory's Painter's Blouse a couple years ago and have watched his evolution since. We are now so happy to bring his wonderful collection to our shop!
