We are so thankful for all the support and the wonderful community we have here in Tucson, and all the other places where we have friends, family, clients, and comrades in work. I've been thinking a lot about how we all affect each other... and I wanted to mention something about that in relation to our clothing line. This is something we have wanted to do for a very long time- but it always seemed so daunting to begin. It was one thing that one person said that gave me (and us) the right inspiration to start- it was my partner Naïm (many of you have seen me post his music on this blog)- who told me a few years ago- "just start with one thing"... "sometimes you just need to start even if it's just a small step". Anyways, that was it. That made me start (slowly), and I'll never forget him telling me that. It is the reason we began to finally do something- because it suddenly felt like there didn't have to be so much pressure to figure everything out all at once and present a whole collection at once. It turns out that this is also the way we will continue- as we don't want to be on a fashion cycle- we want to make what we truly want to make, and also take the time to make sure our designs are what we really want and can't find elsewhere. We don't want to think that ah! we have to create something now ! for Spring 2018!! Anyways, all that being said, thank you Naïm for being a continuous inspiration and support. And if those words would help any of you start something- with even the smallest step, that would be amazing! With our current times being so uncertain, we are trying to do what we can, and also follow our passions and keep making what we believe in. That's what feels necessary. <3
