Fall is on its way, and we couldn't be more ready for it! We recently visited our favorite spot in Southern Arizona - on the AZ/Mexico border... it's a dreamland of wild grasses and expansive vistas. A place we return to often for family reasons, freeing of the mind and inspiration reasons... and to put our ideas on film every now and then. It's a special place to us and we never tire of the changing color of the grass, the big skies and where it allows us to travel in our minds. We have had a lot of rain this Summer, and this area in particular... so it was fun to catch the grasslands in their fleeting state of green, right before the turn to a rich golden hue. This shift in color comes quickly and has only subtle variations throughout most of the year. The interplay of the sky and the grass is so moving - sometimes intense storm clouds, sometimes fluffy, happy drifters, sometimes just the bright blue sky. The grass and sky have such an intense, beautiful interaction that feels different upon each visit. We are lucky to have it close enough for a day trip.
