The most beautiful ribbon just arrived at the shop and we realized immediately that one of the colors is an exact match with the colors of Astier de Villatte's incense boxes. We didn't plan that, unless it was subconscious! Anyways, we love it when this sort of serendipitous matching happens :) We thought of using the ribbon to tie one of the saguaro ornaments on the Tucson incense... what a match made in heaven! It would make a wonderful hostess gift during Thanksgiving, or for a holiday gift. Sharing here all the colors of ribbon- we love the gold edging! These are made in Italy and each spool has 20 yards.

It is a fun time of year! The shop is beginning to feel very festive and conversations about what everyone is doing for the holidays are coming alive. We love sharing this time with everyone - helping to pick out gifts, planting paper whites and decorating the shop. We're sharing with you here some of the beautiful ornaments we have just put out! There are mushrooms, caviar, sardines, cows, saguaro cactus, cherries, figs, french fries, chickens... the list goes on :) These will not be in our online shop, but we are happy to ship as always. Stunning coats and jackets by Apunto b. have arrived at the shop! We are loving these pieces - all the textures and colors are incredibly beautiful and finely made. We love Apunto b.'s focus on fabrics - that in combination with their perfectly detailed simplicity makes for garments that exude such elegance. Shown above are a double breasted wool/linen coat in aubergine, a beautifully textured coat in black and dark blue, a wool jacket with a sweet small collar, and a cotton coat with a nice substantial weight. Beautiful cashmere scarves, shawls and hats have been added to our online shop! We are quite excited about these- we love the strong color and the classic styles. These are designed in Japan and made in Kathmandu utilizing fair trade practices. Nothing beats good cashmere <3

We were imagining a morning filled with favorite things and with this in mind, we put together the following things- a beautiful teapot, teacups, the most lovely night dress, moccasins, egg cups, a honey jar, a little glass creamer and handmade nail brushes for the morning routine. We received the beautiful night dress in a range of different colors and patterns- we show above the white version with navy blue stitching. These are so nice and would be wonderful worn with a big sweater in the winter, chunky socks and moccasins. The night dresses can be seen in our online shop in the gift section (they come in a matching fabric envelope pouch that ties with a bow!- perfect to give as a gift). The moccasins are our favorite house shoes- we've carried them for years and here they are- still a favorite after all that time. They are super soft and comfortable <3 These are also in the gift section. The teapot and teacups from Astier de Villatte are so wonderful. Add the sweet egg cups and you have everything you need for your morning cup of tea and oeuf a la coq! The tiny glass creamer is from Japan- we love the shape and size. The honey jar is a classic around the shop. And! The nail brushes are beautifully made in Japan by a small company that has been making them for over a century. They work well and last forever! Some of these pieces have been added to our home section and others like mentioned above are in the gift section. We are here if you have any questions :)
