Thank you to all who came (or called, messaged or visited online) to our sale this past weekend. What a fun time we had hearing from and seeing everyone. We are so lucky for you! Now we look into the next few months and we are so excited for what's to come. The shift in seasons is always a favorite time- as we start to feel inspired by new weather on the horizon and how we imagine spending our time with a different ambience in the air. We plan for our shop changes months in advance, but it is always so fun to fully realize a new season. We have Fall on the horizon- and this is a fun time- as we love the idea of being home, using the oven (completely impossible right now in the heat of the summer desert)... wearing beautiful sweaters and layering all the cashmere, wool and cozy things that come along with the cooler weather. Anticipation is high right now as we are still in the thick of 100 degrees. It will be here soon and we are starting to make changes in the shop. Most excitingly, we are in the midst of starting to receive new fall shipments. One of our favorite pieces is the A Détacher sweater shown above. We love the slight puff sleeve and the incredible puff ball texture. It looks great on- very flattering, and also super comfortable. We imagine wearing it with Levi 501's from Levi's vintage collection and a pair of black Repettos. We have more of the styles shown above arriving next week.
We have mentioned this before, but A Détacher is presenting it's final collection- this Fall is the last. What a true inspiration Mona Kowalska has been for both my mom and I - she has always beat to her own drum and has shared her wonderful ideas throughout the years in great interviews (4 day work week!- with days off for 1.- rest and relaxation, 2.- intellectual stimulation, 3.- domestic chores and taking care of all the details). We will miss her individuality on the runway, but we know she is not limited to that- we are excited to see what she will do next :)

Sharing some pieces at the shop that are included in our everything sale this weekend for those who can't be here. We've been posting more on our instagram "stories" - you can also follow along there to see more :)
Shown here is the French shirt by Pip Squeak Chapeau... it has a fantastic look on- and feels great, roomy and comfortable. Also shown is the petal collar shirt by Pip Squeak in a cotton batiste- this is available in white and navy. All repettos are included in our sale and we have a wide variety of colors. The gathered dress by Pip Squeak in the black and white gingham is another wonderful piece that is easy to wear in the summer and can be layered in the cooler months. All the wonderful Astier de Villatte pieces are also included in the sale as well as the eyelet dresses and black denim coat in the bottom pictures. Everything is included, yay! Textiles + Astier de Villatte ceramics. Astier mixes so beautifully with many different styles and colors - we love to dream up different combinations. When I was in Paris, my partner Naïm and I spent a day at the Astier de Villatte workshop and I was so moved by the beauty of it all. We saw the artisans' hands in action, so delicately making all these pieces. All those tiny balls edging the Adelaide plates are individually made and adhered by hand! When you really think about that, it is quite impressive as then you imagine all the other pieces and their fine details... all being made entirely by hand. This is a known fact, but seeing it in person was awe-inspiring. The sculpting clay that they initially start with is sourced from the outskirts of Paris. Benoît and Ivan (founders of the company) first discovered it while students at Les Beaux Arts- it was used there for making sculpture. The process to make each piece takes days of forming, firing, adding the porcelain and firing again. It was just incredible- many pages could be written about the experience. We are so happy to have the presence of these beautiful pieces in our shop <3 We show several different pieces above mixed with different textiles. We get asked a lot if Astier pieces are included in our sale and the answer is yes- for our two day sale, it is included. Everything is included, for two days only. <3 We are happy to send more pictures also - let us know if you have any inquiries :)

Hip hip! Our Annual Summer Sale is next weekend- Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20. This is a two day sale extravaganza that includes everything in the shop- all will be 20% off online and 20% - 75% off in our actual shop. 20% will also be reduced from any special orders placed during the weekend of John Derian furniture or bedding. Our sale includes everything in the shop because it is simply fun this way- anything you've been possibly dreaming of will be included. We also do it as a thank you for all your support throughout the year - your presence makes what we do possible and we are forever grateful to continue our work! So! Next weekend it is! And by everything- this includes all that is presently in our shop whether it is something that has just arrived or a classic item that we keep in stock- from Astier de Villatte and John Derian pieces to Repetto ballet flats, textiles and clothing. We are keeping wish lists for clients, so if you see anything on our blog or instagram, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to check if it's available. We will be adding more to our blog and instagram so that you can see a bit more of what we have since our online collection is much smaller than what we offer in our actual shop.
