John Derian Furniture
A look into the John Derian furniture catalog ~ shot by our friend Stephen Johnson. Inspired by antique pieces, John Derian designs this line and works in collaboration with Cisco brothers in Los Angeles where it is all made. In regards to the design, what we love so much about this furniture is its elegant, simple lines. It mixes so well with both modern and vintage interiors. There really is no other furniture line that compares. There is a fineness to it without being fussy. The fabrics and color choices are also incredible. We just ordered the Dromedary Loveseat in a rose linen velvet, the Field Ottoman in a navy/denim blue Belgian linen and the Geranium Sofa in a flax Belgian linen for the shop. We have fabric swatches at the shop to see and feel. In regards to the quality, Cisco Brothers is a family run company who employs highly skilled furniture makers. They are eco friendly- using soy and petroleum based foam, non toxic glues and FSC certified domestic maple wood. After years of use, these pieces stand the test of time- the styles are classic and the quality keeps them going strong. As an owner of the Cove sofa (shown in the bottom picture on the left) for 8 years (with a little one) it still looks brand new. We can't say enough about this furniture.
