Dishes, bowls and tea cups by Astier de Villatte mixed with beautiful textiles. One of the reasons we love Astier ceramics is that they go with so many different styles. You can mix these pieces with all types of interiors. We love their texture- they are very refined, but they are not only that. There is an element of something rustic that gives these pieces depth- this comes from the black earthenware underneath slightly showing under the porcelain. The combination of these materials is stunning. We put a few of our favorite pieces from our last batch with different tablecloths and napkins. The tablecloth in the first photo can be seen in our online shop. The napkins in that photo are a natural on cream gingham linen with a substantial weight- we love the way they look with the tablecloth and the Astier pieces. The wonderful textile with the lemon print is a cotton square napkin opened up. The last two photos show three sizes in a beautiful oval bowl and another tablecloth in natural cotton with blue stripes along the edges. These bowls are such a nice shape and would be great serving pieces. We can see them full of cherries or limes... something wonderfully fresh and summery!
A beautiful new batch of pieces by Fog Linen has just arrived at the shop. Shown above are two different lightweight linen overcoats. We love this style for the warmer months because they are the perfect light layer to throw on in the evening or while traveling (thinking of chilly airplanes). We love these natural linen pieces worn with white... our Out of Africa inclinations always first and foremost on the mind this time of year! We show the lighter stone colored linen coat with the Pip Squeak gathered dress and the darker natural linen overcoat with the tuxedo shirt and a white Bon skirt. We love all these pieces with the Picasso espadrilles and the Eliurpi hat <3 The coats are not available online- but feel free to call or email with any questions. A few things from our gardening section :) It is so beautiful out right now, we just want to be outside planting! It is a treat though, to come to work each day and see new cacti blooming. It's a gift every morning! We have a big variety of potted cacti right now... and a big selection of pots <3
