We are constantly talking about the amazing things that are being made. It is one of our big passions to find these treasures and put them together in our shop in a way that speaks to our environment and aesthetic. We are surprised and thrilled daily at the boxes we receive of what our dear friends and designers are making! Even when it's a designer who we've been working with for over 18+ years (going back to when my mom had a shop on her own)... they still excite us with the beautiful things they make. And it's not that what arrives is a surprise- as we touch, hold and feel everything we bring into our shop before we order... but many times we order 6 months to a year in advance- and we almost forget the details that make something so beautiful and that excited us in the first place. So, today we unpacked a box of the cotton pillowcases we have carried for years.... and we had forgotten that we had asked Susan, the designer, if she could make them in pink for us. Well, she did and we are so excited about them- they are beautiful. We know from carrying this style and from using them ourselves that these pillowcases are absolutely wonderful. The cotton is so nice and they last forever. To get a new batch with an incredible new color- all of them so carefully bundled up - it just makes our day. We have so much appreciation for designers like Susan from Auntie Oti... and others which make up a giant list, but maybe to name a few- John Derian, Astier de Villatte, Lauren McIntosh, Patch NYC, Ichi Antiquités, Pip Squeak Chapeau, Fog Linen, Le Vestiaire de Jeanne, Hazel Brown and Domi.... what I think so many of the designers we carry have in common is that they are concerned with beauty, with a timeless quality, with things being made well. They are not trendy, they are in a different realm. It is for a huge appreciation of them and the beautiful things they make that we have our shop <3

A beautiful new shipment from Ichi has been unpacked, and we are just loving these legging sets! The tee has an elegant scoop neck with a 3/4 length sleeve, the leggings are full length with a mid-rise. The fabric is a wonderful stretchy ribbed cotton :) We also received several dresses, striped tees and shirts <3

Thank you all for coming to our sale- in person, though the phone, through email and through our online shop. It was such a fun weekend hearing from so many of you :) We are so excited for what Fall is bringing... and in fact, there is a box to be unpacked now! Christmas in July :)

Our storewide sale starts tomorrow! Everything in the shop will be 20% - 75% off. We get a lot of emails asking if certain things will be on sale- and yes- everything will be discounted! We do this for 2 days every Summer - it's a fun time to get something special for yourself or for gifts... something classic that we always carry or something new :) Shown above are part of our glassware collection, table linens, and Astier de Villatte dishes... included, along with everything else in our sale <3 We hope to see you tomorrow! Around the shop...
We have just received a new shipment from Pip Squeak Chapeau- shown in the first picture is a sleeveless shirt with a raw edge tiny ruffle collar, the poet dress and the long marrakech skirt. We also received the normandy drew in natural, gingham and black, the marrakech skirt in natural... +. Also shown above is a stunning dress from Makié. The color is incredible. This is a long dress with stitching along the front placket, a small collar and a length that hits almost at the ankle. Also shown above are seat cushions... of which we have four fabric choices (you can see all four choices in our online shop). These cushions are just wonderful- we've carried them for a some time now and we keep reordering. They are made of all natural fibers, including the kapok stuffing. We have bench cushions, day bed cushions, square cushions that make great play mats or dog beds, and the seat cushions shown here. Everything in the shop will be on sale this coming weekend, including our new shipments and everything shown above. We'll continue to share things you can't see in our online shop.
