Oh hooray it’s Fall! We are happy to commence the official start of the season with an offering of a special collection from a dear friend of ours- Kate Scott ... this collection is beloved to Kate- it is a series of vintage J. Morgan Puett pieces. Kate was the manager at the first J. Morgan Puett store in NY- a completely original space with handmade clothing that was truly special, as you likely know. Kate now lives in Canelo, AZ and she has created the Madrean Archipelago Wildlife Center. These photos were taken close to where Kate lives- in the rolling grasslands of Sonoita. We arrived to this spot just as the sun was coming up, and also as the grass was just about to turn golden from it's rare moment of green. It was so beautiful and it felt fitting in working with Kate - with her style and Morgan Puett's as well.
Kate is selling her J. Morgan Puett collection to support the Madrean Center’s efforts ... from Kate- “The mission of the Archipelago Wildlife Center is to build pathways of compassionate co-existence between people and wildlife through actions of environmental education, wildlife conservation and raptor rehabilitation. In heartfelt gratitude we will walk as if every step is a prayer and be present with love and compassion for each other as people and for all Mother Earth’s relations. Please help us reach our goals to build our center! Be a voice for wildlife!” ... 🌿 we are offering Kate’s collection through the shop- proceeds go to the center. We start off sharing one of our personal favorites- this silk linen dress with a drawstring up the front, adjustable straps with a tie in the back. The most lovely pieces are arriving daily- we are trying to keep up with sharing it here on our blog :) These wonderful leggings, turtlenecks and crewnecks in cotton (85%) and wool (15%) have just arrived from Ichi. They have such a nice feel- a bit like an antique navy tee- the wool gives it a nice lofty texture. Now in our actual shop! Please feel free to call or email with sizing questions :)

We just received the sweetest batch of jewelry from Riversong. We adore these pieces- the mother of pearl chrysanthemums, the Japanese baroque pearls, the tiny seed pearls. We immediately thought of wearing these delicate pieces with a cozy fisherman's sweater <3 What we love about River's work is her meticulous attention to detail- the closures being a tiny little mother of pearl flower or a beautiful gold hook and eye... the small pearls that are knotted all along the back side of the chrysanthemum necklace, the handmade gold charms in the bracelets and one on a pearl necklace. Not only this, River also has a deep passion for sourcing her stones- skipping on gem shows and traveling to the source. We admire that, and can feel this depth in her work. We are overjoyed by all the wonderful books we have received... and it's such a lovely time of year to be discovering new reads and sources of inspiration :) Shown above is Short Stories by Paolo Ventura (an incredible book- a made up world with backdrops and scenes all made and orchestrated by the artist - inspired by a beautiful light he discovered in a barn he was restoring- after a bit of the ceiling caved in)... The Delicious- A Companion to New Food Culture (a wonderful book about new restaurants around the world)... Autentico - Cooking Italian the Authentic Way, by Rolando Beramendi (an incredible cookbook - beautiful photography with an emphasis toward elegant, fresh, simple (in the best way) recipes - some that we've tried and can say were delicious!!) ... and The Skirt Chronicles (a biannual publication based in France with interesting articles on art and fashion.

Cherry wears our white raglan shirt and white gathered skirt. We love to wear white year 'round. In the winter it looks great to wear a white ensemble with black wool stockings and either a jazz shoe or a short riding boot <3
